Tsalteshi’s disc golf course is getting a major rehab this summer, involving brush and downed tree clearing, renovating fairways, rebuilding tee boxes, replacing broken and missing baskets and redoing signage. The course was originally built in partnership with the Soldotna Rotary Club, and they’re stepping up in a huge way to get the course back in shape. Rotary and Tsalteshi volunteers, headed up by Will Morrow, have completed extensive brush and tree clearing this summer and smoothed out the areas around tees and baskets to make future maintenance easier. Two baskets were replaced and reinstalled — thanks to the KCHS welding class for the repairs! New tee signs are in the works, with Beemuns doing the wood burning. We’re currently spreading gravel on the tees to create a level, stable surface, which will be topped with rubber mats for traction. Volunteers needed!
