Get ready to run this summer with the Salmon Run Series. For five Wednesday evenings beginning July 11th, race through various Tsalteshi Trails. Look to the right side of this website under “Events” to see more details. Sign up for all races for a price break, or pick and choose individual races according to your schedule.
By participating in these races you’re helping the community control Reed Canary Grass, an invasive species that grows in small salmon streams and harms the habitat, killing fish. It could cause huge problems for our fishing and tourism industries, but with the money raised from Salmon Run Series, the Kenai Watershed Forum will be able to stop that from happening. So by running you aren’t only strengthening your body, you’re helping the community.
