Chainwreck Cyclocross SeriesTsalteshi Trails andBeemun’s Bike & Ski Loft present the Chainwreck Cyclocross Series on Thursdays through Oct. 29. All races begin at 6:30 p.m. and will change trailheads. Please follow Tsalteshi Trails on Facebook for the specifics of each race.

  • Thursday, October 8 — Starts at the Skyview Trailhead. Meet at 5:15 for a technique clinic, followed by the race at 6:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, October 15 – WOLVERINE TRAILHEAD
  • Thursday, October 22 – WOLVERINE TRAILHEAD
  • Thursday, October 29 – Skyview Trailhead

Ski and Sport SwapThe Kenai Nordic Ski team will hold its annual ski/sport swap from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 24 at Kenai Central High School. Drop off sale items from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 23 or from 8 to 10 a.m. Oct. 24. Pick up unsold items and make payments by 3 p.m. on Oct. 24.

Spook Night, Oct. 25Creep, crawl or haul your way to one of Tsalteshi’s favorite events of the year! Spook Night returns Oct. 25, with a Trick-or-Treat Trail for kids and a costumed Zombie 5-k run for everyone — dogs (on leashes) too!

Trick-or-Treat Trail

  • Who: For ages 10 and under. Must be accompanied by an adult. Come in costume, do a trick at each station and receive a treat. Free chili and hot drinks to follow.
  • Cost: $10 each for the first two kids in a family, $5 for each additional child up to six total. Chaperones participate for free.
  • Time: Registration begins at 5 p.m. The trail is open from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Place: Skyview Trailhead, behind Skyview Middle School.

Zombie 5-k

  • Who: Open to everyone, including dogs (must be on a leash). Come in costume!
  • Cost: $30, with a $5 discount for anyone in costume, and another $5 discount for active Tsalteshi Trails Members. (Not a current member? Become one HERE.)
  • Preregister online at tsalteshi.org.
  • Time: Day-of registration and bib pickup starts at 5 p.m. Race is at 6 p.m.
  • Place: Skyview Trailhead, behind Skyview Middle School.
