Classic skied all of the trails today and the skiing was very good. Tracks were set and in good shape. Also got to classic the Squirrel for the first time with tracks so that was fun. I used bright red Toko kicker which was really good. After a while I skied thru to yesterday's extra blue which had good grip but ran slower. They were setting up a high school race so the upper trail head could be a little busy till 5 pm or so.
Classic skied most loops. The skiing is fantastic right now!! Tracks are set but were still soft so I stayed out of them. Tommorow should be great!! Extra blue kicker.
Skate skied Wolverine on Tuesday, groomed and ~fairly fast with Blue wax. (no classic tracks just yet)
All trails were smooshed down with the roller today. Things got pretty wet by 4PM so we had to leave it alone until it cools off. Be sure and throw off any limbs that are manageable. There is at least one tree down (on Bear). We will try and get over to Headquarters lake when things cool off a bit and we catch up at Tsalteshi.
Full moon, Fast snow, Hooting owls. Great night for an evening ski!
Made a single pass with the groomer on all trails tonight. Looks like it sped things up a bit.
Skied all of the trails which were in pretty good condition considering the weather we have been having. There are a patches of glare ice at the base of the Traverse, Sledding and sprint course hills to watch out for. Think snow!
All trails groomed today and conditions are very good. Bring a Designated Waxer!
Skate skied Wolverine and Goat in the afternoon. Freshly groomed trails (no classic tracks yet), violet wax and fairly fast. All good.
Skied the wolf a few times Tuesday night after the groom. Fast with decent grip. Beware of ice patch at the bottom of first climb next to sledding hill. Stay on the groom.
