General Membership Meeting December 8th Skyview Middle school @ 7pm!

General, Uncategorized
I hope you all are currently executing your best snow dance and are performing other snow summoning rituals to bring forth the flaky white stuff for Bill to groom!  However, on December 8th, please put down those burning 1980's touring skis, and douse your bonfire full of old race bibs from the Tour of Anchorage (does that summon snow?) and come out to the Skyview Middle School Library for the General Membership Meeting! The meeting will commence at 7pm and we would love to see all of you there!  You'll get the chance to catch up with other members, elect new board members, and see what happened this year on the trails! Again, December 8th at 7pm in the Skyview Middle School library! Call Josh @ 907-398-9849 with any questions.…

AK Skimeister Challenge The 1st Annual Skimeister Challenge will be held on April 13th, 2013. The Skimeister Challenge is a fundraising event for the Challenge Alaska Competition Program & Alyeska Ski Club Juniors and Devos Programs. Who will hold the title of Skimeister of Alaska? Will it be a Nordic, Back-Country…

Help us name a new trail!

Blog, General, Uncategorized
Bill is hard at work on the new land south of Skyview.  He is about half way thru a new trail that connects into the Squirrel and heads toward the Highway.  The new trail needs a new name. We name our trails after Alaskan animals.  Please walk, run or ride it over the next few weeks and send us your name suggestions at tsalteshi@yahoo.com.  Click the title to see a map.

Cold but workable…

General, Tsalteshi Ski Trails, Uncategorized
Skate skiing over the last week on Wolverine has been more work, but still doable; not been unbearably slow. Unless it's my imagination, the surface has been regularly scratched up by the groomers. Many thanks to whoever takes care of Tsalteshi -- I've skiied all around the Peninsula over the holidays, and no one, but no one, takes care of their trails like they do here.
